Mrs. Elva J. Kerr, 88 widow of the late Rev. William H. Kerr, former residents of the vicinity of Hillsboro died at her home in Crawfordsville Sunday morning from infirmities of age. Her husband was a former Christian minister and they began housekeeping on a farm near Ingersoll Chapel, later moving to Waynetown and 54 years ago moved to Crawfordsville where Mrs. Kerr had lived continuously since that time. She was born March 28, 1857 in Howard Township, Parke County, the daughter of Jacob B. and Emily McDuffy Lough,.. She and Rev. Kerr married Sept 1, 1874 and he preceded her in death Dec 5, 1932.  The survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Golda Cunningham of Crawfordsville; a grandson and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Kerr Cunningham of Frankfort, Ky; a nephew, Fern F. of Frankfort, Ky; Mrs. Floyd Welsh, of St. Louis, Mrs. Bertha Tinsley  of Frankfort and Mrs. William H. Newlin and Miss Clara English, both of Crawfordsville.
